An began his competitive latin dancing career as a college student, with the Berkeley Ballroom team, training with many world-class instructors. He has won numerous awards locally, including 1st place recognition at the International Grand Ball 2009 competition in Pre-championship latin category. Together, An and Irina have been dancing for approximately a year and a half.  They have gained recognition for their dancing, with the most prestigious title being National Champions in the in Pre-championship latin category in 2010.
